Will he eventually get the job back and be productive, because my roster spots are very limited and I'm thinking about dropping him.

Depends on what you need?? If you need saves--I think he might be in the mix later on--but Tony is a goofball--no one knows what he will do. One thing he almost always did was go to Izzy though--so I think he might be done after ths decision. Franklin could hold it down..

I'm in the same boat with Izzy, I'm going to hold onto him for a little while and see what happens over the next few weeks or so.

He will get the job back more than likely. Both him and his manager admitted the move was for some mental issues he is having. I think I heard that Izzy even requested it.

i picked up ryan franklin and dropped isringhausen initally(and since have dropped franklin and added izzy), but that my have been out frustration because i am a cardinals fan, but isringhausen was in a situation to get the save lastnight until the cards scored late in the game, will be getting save chances again.

i dont think anyone on the cards is worth picking up, franklin, villone and mclellan will all have chances to get saves but none more than the other

He should get his job back. Great buy-low candidate.

From Rotoworld:

"He's not hurting, he's just pressing and lost his confidence," La Russa said. "You go back to the drawing board a little bit on his delivery so he can locate better, and you give him some appearances and hopefully he gets people out and his confidence goes back up." Izzy agreed with the decision. "It needed to be done," Isringhausen said. "It's a mental break more than anything." Ryan Franklin will be the favorite for saves for now, but the Cards could also go with Russ Springer, Ron Villone or Randy Flores, depending on La Russa's whims. Izzy will probably get the job back by the end of the month.
